Our Journey

Born from a Passion for Sri Lanka & Cycling

Tropical Ride SL was founded in 2023 by a group of cycling enthusiasts who believed that the best way to experience Sri Lanka's incredible beauty was on a traditional bicycle. We noticed that most rental services were focusing on e-bikes and motorcycles, leaving out the authentic, eco-friendly experience of traditional cycling.

Our vision was simple: provide high-quality, well-maintained bicycles that could handle Sri Lanka's diverse terrain while giving visitors an authentic connection to the landscapes, cultures, and people of our island.

Starting with just 6 premium bicycles from top international brands, we've grown to become Sri Lanka's premier traditional bicycle rental service, serving thousands of tourists and locals who want to explore our island at a human pace.
